Another Lipstick to be Launched into the Stars by Top Hallyu Actress Jun Ji Hyun

Top Hallyu (the Korean wave, or the global rise in popularity of Korean pop culture) actress Jun Ji Hyun/Gianna Jun is Helen of Troy, and we Kbeauty enthusiasts, are her Paris. Back in 2014, she allegedly donned (Yves) Saint Laurent's Rouge Pur Couture lipstick in shade 52, Rosy Coral in her hit drama My Love From Another Star leading scores to hit the beauty counters and singlehandedly causing a worldwide shortage of the coveted hue.

Well, the face that launched a million lipstick sales and new mother-to-be is back at it again, this time as the spokesmodel for Hera Cosmetics. She assumed the post back in the beginning of 2015. In the photo above, she is shown modeling Hera's Rouge Holic Glow Texture line of lipsticks. It consists of 10 shades in all, and the shade allegedly worn by Jun in the ad is called edit (correction): 117 Muse Pink. 





Girl's Generation (Kpop girl group) singer Seohyun also sports a Hera Rouge Holic lipstick in the advertisement below. The shade is 147 Supreme Pink.

I've been excited about some recent limited edition collections in the Korean beauty world such as this gorgeous and extremely limited distribution by The History Of Whoo. The collection is called the Queens and Concubines of the Joseon Dynasty and was launched in collaboration with the National Palace Museum of Korea in Seoul.

The collection is pretty rare and hard to find, even in Korea, as the set is only made available at duty free shops and at an exhibition run by the museum. It is also a short release cycle. The collection is due to be pulled from shelves at the end of August.

This is where Korean buying service Dowaja.com comes in. 

I placed my order for some History of Whoo goodies on August 22nd in preparation for the continuation of the TG2KB series which comes back in late September/early October. Not only did the team at Dowaja bend over backwards to pick up my items, but I was just informed the items are due to be shipped on Monday, August 31. A'some taps popular model and it girl Yoon Sun Young to be their new face

A'some isn't oft talked about outside of Korea. It is a cosmetics brand with both a makeup and skincare line targeted at women in or around their 20's, but let's not be ageist here guyz. They recently made model Yoon Sun Young, who is best known for her campaigns on popular Korean online clothing mall MilkCocoa, the face of the brand. The dashingly handsome actor Hyun Bin was recently made the spokesmodel for one of my favorite clinical skincare brands, Mediheal. Hyun Bin is best known for his role in the hit drama Secret Garden.
