Autumnal s'Teal Nail Polish

Okay it's kind of gross funny, but I recently managed to get one of my fingernails infected and had a little freak out and threw away all of my nail polishes just in case anything was living in there. (In case you're wondering, everything healed up in 2 weeks.) But later on I found out that things can't really live in nail products - they're really inhospitable environments when it comes to bacteria. *cries*

I'm not a nail polish junkie, but I do like to keep a few around, so I treated myself to a few cheapies at Memebox. 

I picked up the Pony Nail in 15 Love Vacance (on the bottle) / Summer Love (on the website)  which is a lovely bright, cream teal. It was part of their summer collection but I'm loving it for the cool(-er) weather right now! It's a deep enough color and I'm not sure if teal is a "jewel tone", but it's got that feel. Quality-wise, it's surprisingly nice! I'm pretty challenged when it comes to anything that requires motor skills and even I could get a nice even coat out of this formula. The brush is wide and flat. The formula is also formeldahyde-free. 

I just hauled the Maybelline Color Show - I recommend you skip it. Too watery - look at how lumpy my thumbnail is! LOL

I also picked up the Base Coat and the Matte Top Coat. The base coat is surprisingly hydrating and I think it's a huge part of the reason why I was able to get a nice even color today. The Matte Top Coat does a really nice job at mattifying nails as demonstrated above, but takes a bit longer to dry than the Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat. Both formulas contain vitamins A, B, C, E, and jojoba oil.

I'm happy I picked all of these up! Just be forewarned, the bottles are a bit on the smaller side. Think Essie, not O.P.I.
