Korean beauty giveaway Banila Co Miss Flower Mr Honey Essence Oil Innisfree Sea Salt Perfect Cleanser Mini Reviews First Impressions W2Beauty

7 months after writing my first makeup review, I was pleasantly surprised earlier today when I found that this blog reached 50,000 hits!

I'd like to thank all of you for joining me here, reading my thoughts, and oftentimes contributing to the conversation by commenting with your own. Also, a huge thank you to those who have also sent encouraging words and support along the way!

I love to celebrate anything and everything, even the small stuff, so I thought what better time than now to host the long awaited INTERNATIONAL giveaway I'd originally been planning/saving for when this blog turned 1?
There's no day like today right?

There will be two winners chosen at random for....

wait for it...

The Banila Co Miss Flower and Mr. Honey Essence Oil, or the Innisfree Sea Salt Perfect Cleanser!!

PRIZE 1: BANILA CO MISS FLOWER MR HONEY ESSENCE OIL

Korean beauty giveaway Banila Co Miss Flower Mr Honey Essence Oil Innisfree Sea Salt Perfect Cleanser Mini Reviews First Impressions W2Beauty
Could easily be painted like one of Jack's French girls. What a stunna!

Highlights / Ingredients: Niacinamide, Honey Extract, Royal Jelly Extract, Propolis Extract, Adenosine, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, and Tocopheryl Acetate
See full ingredients list at CosDNA

I haven't done a review yet on this blog, as it is still in testing, but my first impression is that it is an absolute pleasure to use... It's a richly emollient blend of non-fragrant plant oils, mixed into an intoxicating brew of honey and other bee byproducts. It's got a scent profile that can hang with the Coco Chanel Mademoiselles of the world, and I have been seeing some skin-softening results so far.

It's not a product suitable for those with allergies to bees or any bee byproducts, and it does have simple alcohol and a tiny bit of fragrance in the formula, so when I announce the winner, I will be checking in with them (or YOU possibly :) if this product is suited to them (again, you. Imagine this on your vanity!).

PRIZE 2: INNISFREE SEA SALT PERFECT CLEANSER*

Korean beauty giveaway Banila Co Miss Flower Mr Honey Essence Oil Innisfree Sea Salt Perfect Cleanser Mini Reviews First Impressions W2Beauty
You'll be well seasoned with this new exfoliating cleanser from Innisfree

Highlights / Ingredients: Sea salt extract (40%), Sodium Chloride, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Camellia Japonica Leaf Extract, Lecithin, Mineral Salts, Ceramide 3
See full ingredients list at CosDNA

This is part of my new cleansing lineup, which is still in testing, but my first impression is that since it is comprised of 40% sea salt extract, one of the new trending ingredients in Korean skincare, it can be an excellent second cleanser for dry skin. Research has shown that in certain proportions, sea salt can work to treat dry skin and conditions like psoriasis.

This cleanser is a foaming cleanser that also contains salt granules for some light physical exfoliation. I'm not too big on the actual salt granules in this product, but if you rub your hands a little extra, you can melt them away. I like to do this while yelling HULK SMASH to confuse everyone I live with.

I'm a newbie at this pH testing business but it seems that the pH of the cleanser comes in at a 7, when mixed with my also 7 tap water. Not ideal, but manageable. My skin hasn't felt irritated or over-cleansed so far. And hold up, this smells like the iconic Davidoff Cool Water, which is so 90's, and by extension, in right now, right? Lastly, the product is huge at 130 ml.

This product is not suitable for those whose skin is easily irritated by surfactants as it contains two of the milder ones - sodium lauroyl glutamate and sodium cocoyl glycinate, and those who are averse to physical exfoliation. I will be reaching out to the winner to see if this product is right for their skin type.

This product has now been fully reviewed here.
