So-brrr January Week 4 K-Beauty Skincare Releases

Hi everyone, I have a quick update for you today on the new K-beauty products that were announced or released over the past week.

Most are freshly announced, or only available on their official Korean websites. These products can be purchased through using a buying service like the one provided by KoreanBuddy.com or Avecko.com. One of the first stores with international shipping to carry new releases is Tester Korea. At times, new releases will start popping up in their store within a couple of days, so make sure to check them out!

I've started marking products that stand out to me as **Kinseng Picks**. A Kinseng Pick is either innovative, has a good quality/price ratio, an impressive ingredients list, or is hella cute.

Missha Super Aqua Line Details

Missha Super Aqua Ice Tear line details have been announced. This line has a toner, essence, emulsion, and cream. It contains glacial water from Chilean Patagonia which contains high concentrations of calcium and magnesium. 

It also contains Polynesian iceplant extract and blue lagoon water, again high in vitamins and minerals. The toner is 11800 KRW/180 ml, essence is 13800 KRW/50ml, emulsion is 11800 KRW/150ml, and the cream is 12800/50ml. 

Laneige All Day Anti Pollution Defenser SPF 30 PA++

This is a new type of day serum that contains SPF 30+ PA++ sun protection and a proprietary "Dust Block" complex of ingredients to help protect the skin from the elements during the day. Pre-launch.

Laneige Perfect New Regenerator

This anti-aging product contains something called "Skin RebirthTM" technology alongside "Advanced Ceramide Water". It retails for 60000 KRW/40ml (although for the launch, it is 54000 KRW) here and will be available globally this month.

BRTC Hwang Jung Eum Skincare Box

BRTC has both a makeup box and a skincare box available for fans of actress Hwang Jung Eum from Korean drama 'She Was Pretty'. This box contains three full-size items on super sale. They are the Prestige Gold Caviar Emulsion, the Prestige Gold Caviar Toner, and the Prestige Gold Caviar Eye Cream. The star ingredients in these products are gold, caviar, and hydrolyzed collagen. The supporting cast is trehalose, milk proteins, licorice root, olive leaf, and morus alba. They normally retail for over 177000 KRW altogether, but are on offer for 39800 KRW here.

MAXCLINIC Miraclinic Contouring Object Mask with Ampoule Dressing

The Maxclinic brand is launching a new mask called the Miraclinic Plaster Corset Mask. It's a two step mask with an ampoule containing ceramides, hyaluronic acid, collagen, and over 10 other ingredients to give moisture and lifting effects to the skin. One of these ingredients is Egyptian myrrh. The second step is a contouring plaster face mask which fits over the 'ampoule dressed' skin to help it absorb the ampoule. The mask hardens over the face which helps to boost circulation and lymphatic function, tighten the face and chin area, and care for pores. 78000 KRW/4 masks here.

Senite (a Coreana brand) launches Anti-Aging Makeup within their Anti-Aging Golden Cell Repair line

Apologies for not including this in the makeup update.

The Senite Golden Cell Repair Ampoule Makeup Line consists of a cushion, foundation, and pact. Each product contains some 'ampoule' in the product.

Senite Golden Cell Repair Ampoule Cushion (55000 KRW/15g) contains an entire bottle of ampoule to give a moisturizing and dewy finish. It contains UV-IR filters in addition to regular UV filters. **Kinseng Pick**

Meanwhile, the Senite Golden Cell Repair Ampoule Foundation (40000 KRW/40ml) features argan oil while the Senite Golden Cell Repair Ampoule Pack (45000 KRW/12g) contains pearl powder.

Pre-launch, these products will be available at Coreana multi-brand stores across Korea. More information will be available here shortly.

IT'S SKIN Prestige Lip Balm D'escargot **Kinseng Pick**

In addition to 21% snail secretion filtrate, the lip balm contains shea butter, mango butter, and cocoa butter. Unlike other lip balms, it is not water-based, and the snail secretion filtrate is the first ingredient. The design of the case is a golden sliding cartridge.14000 KRW/6g here.

A.H.C. Real Ampoule Cleanser

This cleanser has 69 ingredients to help nourish the skin even while cleansing, some of the ones featured are hyaluronic acid and panthenol which are very moisturizing. This product is in pre-launch but will soon be available at Etics Korea.

New Beauty Devices: HowSkin pH meter, Wired Beauty Mapo bluetooth mask

Wired Beauty's Mapo bluetooth face mask

The HowSkin device measures the pH of your skin, in addition to the water and oil content. It is also wifi-enabled and able to connect to an app on your phone. See a quick demo here. 349000 KRW here.

SNP Prestige Mayu Treatment Shampoo

As to be expected, the SNP Prestige Treatment Mayu Shampoo contains horse oil to moisturize the hair and scalp while cleansing it. The product also contains ceramides and vegetable extracts. It retails for 16800 KRW here.

Renewed: Hera Cell Essence

Thank you to reader Anny for the tip. There is news that Hera has updated their popular Cell Essence formula. The new formula contains something called Cell-Bio Fluid Sync 2.0. It also boasts 8 'activators': on the bottle, they are listed as amino acids, sugar, peptides, lipids, ions, hyaluronic acid, water, and natural moisturizing factors like acetyl glucosamine and PCA. 60000 KRW/150ml here.

Witch's Red Ampoule

The red ampoule comes from Lamy Cosmetics, the company behind DIY rice paper sheet masks and rice breast sheet masks. The ampoule contains tulip extract, bifida ferment lysate, and scutellaria baicalensis for moisture. Pre-launch. Should soon be available at Lamy.

Deopruce Time Reset Eye Corrector

Deopruce is adding a new eye cream to its lineup. The Time Reset Eye Corrector is due to come out later this month. It was codeveloped with the Swiss Penta Farm and contains "Regu-Age" ingredients and red beans, peptides, retinol, hippophae rhamnoides and ginseng. Pre-launch, and will be available at Ovcos Korea shortly.
